Sahajanand Group of Companies is a unique company in India providing laser solutions to the Diamond, Industrial and Medical community since 1989. The annual turnover has achieved the target. The company started its operation with an employee base of 7 people, which has now touched 400 people into multi-disciplinary areas of Laser Technology, Medical Technology and Biotechnology with the manufacturing base at Surat and Daman. Sahajanand Group is headed by its Chairman - Mr. Dhirajlal Kotadia, who leads a dedicated team of Laser Scientists, Biotechnology Scientists, Biomedical Engineers, Chemical Scientists, Chemical Engineers, Doctors, Pathologists, Electronic Engineers, Computer Engineers, Pharmacists and Physicists.

Sahajanand Medical Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (SMT), a Sahajanand Group Company’s Quality Management System is certified for ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 by DNV AS, Oslo. SMT has Drug manufacturing license issued by Drug Controller General India (DCGI), New Delhi and state GMP certificate as per Schedule M.

SMT introduced India's first indigenously manufactured 'The Millennium^Ž Coronary Stent' in 1999. SMT is the manufacturer of Bare Metal Stents (BMS) of stainless steel as well as cobalt chromium alloy. Company is pioneer in manufacturing of Drug Eluting Stents (DES) in India. SMT is only company in the world which offers both-Paclitaxel as well as Sirolimus Drug eluting stents using varieties of platforms i.e. L-316 SS and L-605 Co-Cr alloy. One more unique feature is that SMT is only company in the world which started using biodegradable polymers on DES right from the beginning of its manufacturing in 2003.


Various brands of BMS viz. Millennium^Ž, SFX-108™ and Millennium Matrix^Ž (All L-316 SS bare as well as balloon mounted stents) and Coronnium^Ž (L-605 Co-Cr balloon mounted stents) are CE certified. Additionally in case of DES, Infinnium^Ž (Paclitaxel eluting mounted stent on L-316 SS platform) is also CE Certified.

Our stents have gained wide acceptance within the country and in rest of the world. By now nearly 75,000 BMS & DES stents of SMT have been already implanted at 230 centers in more than 33 countries across the world. Numerous clinical trials involving thousands of patients in many countries at different locations in each country have been carried out. The clinical results of all those trials are found to be very encouraging and most satisfactory. These are the factors responsible to generate tremendous faith in our products amongst interventional cardiologist world wide. At many instances, during the live demonstration in international conferences, the world famous cardiologists have preferred to implant SMT made BMS & DES.

All this is made possible through un-tired efforts of scientific advisory committee comprising of world renound interventional cardiologists from India and abroad. Their valuable inputs have helped the company to offer better products year after year.
