PRODUCTS > INFINNIUM Infinnium-Core | Supralimus-Core | Supralimus | Coronnium | Infinnium | Matrix Features of Infinnium®: The Infinnium®-Paclitaxel Eluting Coronary Stent System contains biodegradable, hemocompatible polymers as a drug delivery vehicle with therapeutic agent. The Stent is covered with drug-polymeric matrix all the way around the struts providing efficient drug release into vessel wall. Features of Infinnium® Paclitaxel Eluting Stent : • The unique design and strut locking mechanism offers excellent radial strength and minimum recoil even with thinner strut. • Smooth surface, round edges and thin struts of stent minimizes vessel injury and obliging in reduces thrombus formation incidence.                 Therapeutic Agent-Paclitaxel: • A microtubule-stabilizing drug that has been shown to inhibit smooth muscle cell migration and proliferation which contributes to neointimal hyperplasia.   • Due to lipophilic nature Paclitaxel support uniform drug distribution in the arterial cells and metabolized at very slow rates and thus have a long term effect.   • At the optimal dose of Paclitaxel incorporated in Infinnium®, it does not impede the natural healing process.   • Blocks the cell cycle between G2/M phase.   • FDA Approved drug for ovarian (1992), breast (1994), AIDS related (1997) and Lung (1998) cancers.   Surface Morphology of Infinnium® Paclitaxel Eluting Stent:         • Uniform drug and biodegradable polymers multilayer coating on stent surface. • Coating integrity maintained on stent crimping and expansion. • The drug-polymers coating thickness is 5-7µm.
